Yvonne Hayden

Yvonne Carolyn Hayden, 85, formerly of Flora, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Waterford Place in Kokomo. She was born on March 21, 1936, in Flora to Leonard and Orvetta (McCoy) Blocher. She married Ivan J. Hayden on August 22, 1954; he passed away May 1, 2014.

Yvonne graduated from Carrollton High School. She was a member of the Eastern Star at Young America, Four Square Church in Kokomo and formerly attended the Bringhurst United Methodist Church. She had worked for RBM industries in Logansport and retired in 1991, after 28 years, from Delco Electronics. Yvonne enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, and traveling.

Surviving are her sons, Brad (Deanna) Hayden of Flora and Phillip (Beth) Hayden of Bringhurst; sisters, Elaine Long of Forest, Gwen (Ronnie) Smith of Forest and Lorraine Harness of Bringhurst; grandchildren, Amber (Jared) Phebus, Aaron (Tabitha) Hayden, Joshua (Megan) Hayden, and Hope (David) Zeh; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother in law, Ted Long.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home ~ Reinke Chapel, Flora with funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery at Sharon, IN.
