Judith Mae (Shedron) Fitzer

Judith M. Fitzer, 92, Delphi, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare.  She was born July 29, 1930, in Walton to Bon and Donna (Widner) Shedron.  She married Richard L. Fitzer on December 25, 1950.  He preceded her in death on March 27, 2002.  

Judith was a 1948 graduate of Walton High School. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Harry Jones for 25 years until her retirement in 1992.  She was a member of Delphi United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with family.

Judith is survived by her children, Debra (Gary) Duff and Gary Fitzer; and grandchildren, Jeremy (Amy) Duff, Ryan (Ashley) Duff, Nicole (Brandon) Bishop, Heather (Christopher) O’Shell; and 6 great grandsons.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held 2pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023, until the time of the service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Reinke Chapel.  Pastor Todd Ladd will officiate.  A private family burial will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Judith’s honor to Delphi United Methodist Church or St. Elizabeth Health Care.
