Beverly Lewis

Beverly Lewis, 89, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Gary on December 10, 1931 to Marion McKinny and Pribble M. (Given) Burtner.  She married David Lewis on April 29, 1951; he preceded her in death on February 24, 2013.         

Beverly graduated from Crown Point High School in 1949.  She moved to Frankfort in 1991.  She worked as a unit secretary at the Hobart Mercy Hospital and also at the Gary Methodist Hospital in Hobart.   She was a former member of the Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed gardening.

Beverly is survived by her children, Mark A. (wife Susanne) Lewis of Virginia, Brent Troy Lewis of South Carolina, Valerie Ann (husband Terry) Swanson of Indiana, Sandra Lynn (husband Gregory) Brashear of Kentucky, and Gayle R. (husband Charles) Jansen of Frankfort; brother, Randall Burtner; eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law Patricia Lewis and brother Sherwin Burtner.

No services are planned at this time.  Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is entrusted with the arrangements.
